The Fiery Furnace | Daniel 3: 1-30

 

Lesson Goal:
To teach children that God is powerful, and He can save those who trust and obey Him.

 

Opening Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that You are mighty and able to save. Help us to trust and obey You everywhere at every time. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

 

Bible Memory Verse:

Daniel 3:17 (NLT)

17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.

Verse Memory Tips: (have your preschooler repeat the verse with you using the following hand/body motions:)

● “The God” - Point to the sky.
● “Whom we serve” - Put your thumbs up and then point them to your chest.
● “Is able” - Put your arms up and flex your muscles.
● “To save us” - Stretch your arms to the sky and wiggle your fingers.

Lesson Review:

1. Daniel had three friends. Let’s practice their names: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
2. Shadrach (Good job!)
3. Meshach (Good job!)
4. Abednego (Great job! That was a tricky one!)
5. What happened to them? (They were thrown into a furnace of fire)
6. Did they get hurt? (No!)
7. Who saved them? (God. He was in the fire!)

 

Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that you are strong and able to save us. Help us to trust You and remember
that You sent Your Son Jesus to rescue us from sin.
